About Me
Hi! I’m Samaria Parker, a Brooklyn-based storyteller passionate about crafting engaging and impactful stories. I began my career on the Program Development team at CNN, where I helped coordinate the on-air promotional strategy for over a dozen CNN Original Films and Series each year, as well as The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper. In this role, I produced news packages to promote upcoming projects and managed the logistics for celebrity and guest interviews, for talent including Eva Longoria, Shonda Rhimes, and Kandi Burruss, amongst others.
I continued my journey at ABC News’ 20/20, where I contributed to two-hour true crime episodes and specials such as Robin Roberts’ The 76th Emmys: A Night of Firsts. With timelines ranging from a couple of months to a couple of weeks, I have learned to balance creativity with precision under tight deadlines.
From the first idea to the finished product, I love being involved in every stage of the production process. Whether producing, coordinating logistics, or making talent feel at ease on set, I find joy in bringing stories to life and ensuring every detail aligns seamlessly.
I’m a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I double-majored in Journalism (Broadcast and Electronic) and Communications with a focus on Media Production. When I’m not on set or deep in research, you can find me catching up on my favorite reality shows or enjoying a good book.
